The Studio HQ Membership Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a Membership with the Studio HQ, you acknowledge that you have read and accept our Terms and Conditions as described below:

1 Start Date & Billing

Core Memberships

From the date you chose to start your Membership, the Fee as outlined in the Membership Fees and Inclusions Table above incl. GST (plus any third-party transaction fees) will be direct debited every fortnight from the original payment option provided.

Annual Membership

From the date you choose to start your Membership, the Fee as outlined in the Membership Fees and Inclusions Table above incl. GST (plus any third-party transaction fees) will be charged as a one-off payment from the original payment option provided.

Packs and Casual Visits

On your purchase date the Fee as outlined in the Membership Fees and Inclusions Table above incl. GST (plus any third-party transaction fees) will be charged as a one-off payment from the original payment option provided.

2 Weekly Class Inclusions

Your membership payment gives you access to the number of Classes per week included under your specific Membership type as outlined in the Membership Fees and Inclusions Table above.  You can book classes at The Studio Salamanca and The Studio SoHo.   Our Regular Timetable week runs from Monday to Sunday.  All memberships are valid for all class types on the Regular Timetable, unless otherwise indicated.  Your membership excludes Masterclasses, Workshops or Special Classes which are advertised from time to time.

Your weekly class inclusions cannot be rolled forward or transferred into the following week.

3 Additional Classes

Classes may be booked in addition to the classes available under your Membership during any week and will automatically be reconciled to the original payment option provided at a rate of $10.00 incl. GST per booking.

4 Minimum Commitment Period & Cancellation

Core Memberships

You are not able to cancel or suspend your membership payments during the first three months of your membership start date, unless exceptional circumstances* apply as defined by The Studio HQ.  If you cancel your membership within this timeframe you will be charged any outstanding monies equivalent to the first three months of your membership.

If you wish to cancel your membership after 3 months from your start date you can do so by notifying The Studio HQ in writing.

Annual Membership

Your Annual Membership is subject to a 10 day Cooling Off Period.  You are not able to suspend, extend or transfer your Annual Membership, unless exceptional circumstances* as defined by The Studio HQ apply.  If you cancel your membership within the Cooling Off period all monies paid to date, minus a $350 incl. GST fee will apply.  If you cancel your membership outside of the Cooling Off Period, you will forfeit all monies paid to date under the Contract and no longer be a member of or have access to classes at the Studio HQ.

Packs & Casual Visits

You are not able to return, cancel, suspend, extend, or transfer your Pack or Casual Visit.  Once purchased, packs and casual visits are not refundable.

5 Membership Renewal & Pack Validity

Core Memberships

Your Membership is runs in perpetuity.  You advise the Studio HQ that you wish to terminate your membership in writing before any action will be taken.

Annual Membership

Your Membership will end in 1 year or 365 calendar days from your membership Start Date.

Packs & Casual Visits

Packs & Casual Visits are valid for 1 year or 365 calendar days from the date of purchase.

6 Membership Suspension

Core Memberships

After the first three months from the Stat Date, your membership may be suspended in weekly blocks up to 3 times per year at no cost. Additional suspensions will incur an $15.00 incl. GST administration fee, charged to the original payment option provided.

Annual Membership

Annual Memberships cannot be suspended or transferred.

Packs & Casual Visits

Packs & Casual Visits cannot be suspended or transferred.

7 Failed Payments

Any amount in relations to your membership that is charged to the original payment option provided and fails, will incur third party payment fees and a $7.50 incl. GST administration fee.

8 Class Cancellations

Core Memberships & Annual Membership

If you cancel a booked class outside of 12 hours of the class start time, you will not be charged a cancellation fee and will not lose the class from your weekly inclusion.

If you cancel a booked class within 12 hours of the class start time you will be charged an $10.00 incl. GST cancellation fee to the original payment option.   The class will be removed from your weekly inclusion.

If you fail to attend without cancelling a booked class a $15.00 incl. GST no-show fee will be charged to the original payment option.  The class will be removed from your weekly inclusion.

Any cancellation and no-show fee charges are in addition to any other charges in relation to your membership.

Packs and Casual Visits

If you cancel a booked class outside of 12 hours of the class start time, you will not be charged for the class and the class will not be deducted from the balance of your pack or casual visit.

If you cancel a booked class within 12 hours of the class start time you will forfeit the class.

If you fail to attend a booked class, the class will be forfeited.

9 Reformer Pilates Experience

Unless you have prior Reformer Pilates experience, an Orientation Class or Private Session must be completed to safely attend Reformer Pilates classes.  You may not be provided access to Reformer Pilates classes under the Membership until you complete an Orientation Class.   Refer to the website or contact reception for Orientation Class or Private Session times.

*Exceptional circumstances means:

(a) Medically unfit to attend the booked class due to illness or injury, as determined by a qualified medical practitioner and as evidenced by a medical certificate or equivalent documentation;

(b) Unable to attend the booked class due to a natural disaster or emergency as defined by the State Emergency Services or equivalent authority.
